Quick answerUse these early Week 1 PPR position rankings to compare players competing for the same starting slot. They cover 12 quarterbacks, 24 running backs, 24 receivers and 12 tight ends. The tiers are decision groups, not precise point gaps; injury status and late role changes can override the order.
How these rankings were assembled
This is a manually curated, AI-assisted research edition—not an export of LineupLab's projection engine. Published Week 1 ranking context was used as a reasonableness check, with editorial emphasis on established starting options and uncertainty. The QB order favors strong all-around profiles; RB/WR/TE orders group early alternatives into practical lineup tiers. We have not calibrated a weekly points forecast or probability of success for this list.
The order applies to full PPR with four-point passing touchdowns and one starting QB. It is not a full-superflex overall draft board, a dynasty ranking or a list of confirmed active players. No K, D/ST or IDP ranking is claimed. If a player is omitted, compare current news and alternatives rather than inferring an injury or a drop recommendation.

PPR vs half-PPR and standard
This edition supplies a full-PPR order. Reception-heavy players lose relative value when reception bonuses shrink. Before applying it to half-PPR or non-PPR, reconsider close pairs using their likely catches, yardage and touchdown opportunities. Six-point passing touchdowns require a separate QB comparison.
Position rank is not FLEX rank
RB15 and WR15 are not necessarily equivalent point forecasts. Use position tables to narrow your choices, then compare across positions for FLEX with the actual scoring rules and available projections. Our draft board uses season-long value over replacement, so it answers a different question from this single-week lineup order.
Before you lock in a player
- Check whether a player's availability or expected participation has changed since September 3.
- Check your league's scoring and eligible roster slots.
- Compare alternatives within a tier rather than treating a one-rank difference as certainty.
- Keep later-game backup options where individual locks permit.
Week 1 starts on Wednesday: check your lineup deadline
The opener is September 9; Week 1 ends September 14. Set your initial lineup early and check your league's actual locks.
Put an earlier-game starter in a dedicated position and preserve FLEX for a later player where possible. This keeps more replacements eligible if late news changes your plan. A full-lineup lock removes that flexibility; do not assume your league uses individual-player locks.
